1. Have fruits and vegetables at every meal. Fruits and vegetables are low in fat and high in fiber. Fruits and plants are aslo the best source for oxidants.It is reccomended to have at minimum 5 servings per day of fruits and vegetables. A good idea is to keep fruit chunks, juices and fresh vegetables in the refridgerator to keep you in prime health.


2. Watch the fiber content of your food. You should be eating at least 20 grams per day. Fruit, vegetables, whole wheat bread, barley, and oats are  and fruits are good sources of fiber.


3. Stay away from foods with mold in them, (blue cheese) salted fish, bacon, corned beef.


4. Stay away from fast foods as they are usually heavy in unsaturated fats. Avoid red meat, including pork.


5. Remember to not over cook your vegetables. Cooking destroys more than half of the vitamins and nutrients.


6. Avoid fried foods and cooked oils.


7. Do regular exercise.


8. Quit smoking and alcohol consumption. Smoking is number one cause of lung cancer.
